Dean Batchelor got into acting at a very young age when his father was a Unit Driver and drove him around various productions in his truck. It was at that point he knew that is what he wanted to pursue as a career.
Dean's parents did not waste time in enrolling Mr. Batchelor into the world's famous Anna Scher Theatre (AST) which has produced many acting talents like Patsy Palmer & Adam Deacon.
Rolling on five years later, he was accepted and gained a place in AST.
His time in AST was not wasted whatsoever as in his inaugural year, he was offered a role in The Bill.
During his career, Dean appeared on many ITV/STV programmes and portrayed many diverse roles in programmes such as London's Burning & Midsomer Murders to name a couple.
Arguably his biggest role to date was in the movie, Ali G Indahouse working alongside Sacha Baron Cohen and Kellie Bright.
Little known fact, Dean was originally going to be cast as Robbie Jackson in EastEnders however EastEnders missed a fantastic opportunity and cast another Dean, of the Gaffney variety instead.
In 2006, Dean took a hiatus from acting to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours. To achieve this degree, Dean undertook an access to performance course at a college and between 2007 and 2009, Dean took a B.A in Film & T.V Studies at Brunel University, Uxbridge.
He returned to acting in 2009 and in 2011, Dean appeared in the movie, Wild Bill, as a Pawn Shop Owner. This movie is highly acclaimed and is BAFTA nominated.
Where Dean will go next is a mystery as the world is his oyster. With the talent he possesses, Dean can portray anything with convincing fashion.
In his personal life, he is a self-confessed die hard Arsenal Football Club supporter and owns shares in the club. Dean is also a video gamer, especially of the sports genre.
He is Dean Batchelor BA and he is the third inductee into the Andrew George Craig Gibson Hall Of Fame.
