I first remember Philip Martin Brown when he was a supergrass by the name of Seth Mercer in ITV's The Bill, back in 2006, working closely with Sally Rogers (who portrayed the role as then DC Jo Masters) to crackdown criminal, Philip Hanson. Mr. Brown played a stubborn character in The Bill, which set him up for Waterloo Road nicely, in the future. However, Mr. Brown had appeared in 4 episodes of The Bill between 1995 and 2002, before becoming Seth Mercer for 6 episodes.
Getting his first big regular role in 1998 as Sergeant Paul Dobson in City Central, receiving 29 episodes to work in for that role, has lead him to the man we know and love him as today in Waterloo Road as Grantly Budgen.
Philip Martin Brown may have bowed out of Waterloo Road, but his career is still continuing, he'll be in Death Comes to Pemberley as Mr. Bidwell, which will be aired 24 December 2013.
I adore him, we all adore him.
Philip Martin Brown, believe it or not, was an MC in Birds Of A Feather too.
The facts speaks for themselves and this is why Philip Martin Brown is the 1st inductee of the Andrew George Craig Gibson - Hall Of Fame.
