Since arriving in Emmerdale Village at the end of March on the 30th (the day before Emma's actual 25th Birthday), Charity has proven to be one of the farm's most manipulative of characters.
Relying on her oozing sex appeal, she has got herself into the bank accounts of many of the village residence's.
She has been married four times since 2000, and if you're wondering, at the time this article was written, Charity is currently single but that may change at a moments notice.
Her partner of choice's gender and age has no setbacks to her conquers as we discovered when she slept with her then ex-husband's sister, Zoe Tate, and was almost marrying a man nearly half her senior in Tony King.
In a nutshell here is what happened.
Charity married Jai Sharma and he wanted to have a child with her. She said no and played with his head by using the potential child as a pawn in her wicked game of chess.
Rachel Breckle & Jai had a drunken night of passion in the Sharma Sharma factory leading to Jai becoming a father, but with Rachel's baby, instead of hers in the meantime somewhere along the line, Charity was sleeping with Declan Macey.
Realising she can't win Jai round anymore she goes with Declan and he tells her his most personal of secret, Mia wasn't his daughter and that she was Jai's after Jai and Declan's wife, Ella, had an affair.
Charity sees gold again and uses Declan's past to get with him and his bank account.
Teasing Declan with a baby saying she's pregnant, she was, don't misunderstand her, when all along she got an abortion and tried to make either her cousin, Chas, or Debbie, her daughter, take the "blame" for being at the abortion clinic when Robbie, Declan's nephew, discovered Charity's sat-nav had recently taken her to an abortion clinic.
Home Farm, where Declan & Charity stayed, were losing business and revenue so Charity concocted an insurance scam where she & Declan would set Home Farm on fire to claim back on the insurance payout.
Sam, another one of Charity's cousins, get's with Rachel, who slept with her ex-husband, Jai, and become engaged to be married.
Charity had to make the people who betrayed her pay in retaliation for her luxury lifestyle being in tatters, even although it wasn't specifically their fault, someone had to pay.
When the worst police force in fictional soapland history turned up, sorry Emmerdale Police, on the hunt for clues as to who set Home Farm on fire lead to Rachel being on Charity's hit-list. - Charity used Archie (Jai & Rachel's son) to guilt-trip Rachel into having a payoff so she'd take the blame for the fire IF she disappeared with Archie. Charity figuratively killed two birds with one stone as getting rid of Rachel & Archie meant Jai would no longer see his son.
Roll forward about a year to the present.
Declan sent the police a DVD statement, verbally listing all of what he and Charity had done. This lead to Jai kidnapping Charity and held her in a storage container for a few days without food or water until she told him where Rachel & Archie is... as she literally doesn't know, Jai left her for dead. Eventually, Cain found and rescued her and now she's all fine... healthwise.
Charity was then arrested and tonight saw her get sent down for all her felonies at Home Farm.
Don't worry, Emma Atkins fans, she'll be back in Emmerdale Farm it's just that Emma is having a baby and is on maternity leave.
As Emma Atkins isn't available at current so I got the next best thing (or person) to interview and that being one of Emma Atkins' biggest fans on twitter, Rianna Cairns.
RIANNA: The way she always puts 100 percent into all her work. And the fact that she is so caring towards her fans, friends & family.
ANDY: What was the defining moment in Emma's career that made you sit up and think 'yep, I like her'?
RIANNA: It's a strange story, I only started watching emmerdale when I was ten (2010) and as soon I saw her on screen as charity I just loved her. I went onto youtube and watched loads of old scenes she had done and knew instantly she's a one of a kind actress.
ANDY: What's your favourite scene or interview of Emma's?
RIANNA: My favourite interview of Emmas is the one she filmed with Charley Webb after the live episode. And my favourite scene shes filmed as charity would be the car scam with Cain.
ANDY: The one in the hotel with the amazing wig action?
RIANNA: That's the one :-)
ANDY: You must be thrilled that ITV/STV/UTV are giving Emma such a mix of roles within Charity Dingle to play from being the manipulative gold-digger, to the lady of the manor living the life of Riley to the vulnerable character as we've seen over the past couple weeks...
RIANNA: I am! I feel like they've finally given her a chance to show both sides to her character and of course given emma a chance to show what she's capable of doing. Everyone sees Charity as a money grabbing b*tch but I feel that if they knew her story and her past, they would understand that she is vulnerable under the tough shell and would genuinely do anything for her family. Especially her kids.
ANDY: Have you seen Emma in other programmes such as Doctors, Casualty or Heartbeat?
RIANNA: Yes I have, I've seen the casualty and heartbeat episodes which I really enjoyed because it was something different to what is normally shown on screen daily.
ANDY: If you had 2 minutes with Emma, what would you tell her?
RIANNA: I would thank her for being such a big part in my life. And congratulate her for everything she's achieved. Oh and ask for a selfie ;-)
ANDY: As we've just said see you later to Charity tonight, how will you cope without Emma being on your television for the next few months?
RIANNA: I don't think I'll cope at all if I'm honest! I've spend so many years watching her on most episodes and for her to now be gone, it'll be really horrible to get used to not seeing her..I think I'll spend most nights watching repeats on YouTube!
ANDY: Thank you, Rianna, for your time and I hope I haven't taken up too much of it.
RIANNA: You're very welcome,I enjoyed answering your questions. Thank you for the great experience!
I, personally, would like to wish Emma the very best of health & good luck with the birth of her baby.
